The British Athletics Association have recently awarded Kate an ‘Athletic Apprenticeship For Sporting Excellence’ which will be held at Loughborough College on ten weekends, during 2014 and early 2015.

The apprenticeship will be of NVQ 3 standard. She will be under the guidance of an Athlete Mentor and will study all aspects relating to a career in Athletics.

The topics that the course will cover will include, nutrition and performance, sports psychology, lifestyle, communication and media.
There will be workshops in strength, conditioning, fitness testing and physiotherapy.
