UK Youth Development League (lower)

This league is a competition for boys and girls who are aged under 13 years and under 15 years.

The opening fixture of the season was held at St. Mary’s College, Spinkhill, Sheffield on Saturday 3rd of May 2014.

The teams competing were:- Kingston upon Hull – City of Sheffield – Harrogate Harriers – Doncaster Athletic Club – North Cumbria and City of York.

Kingston upon Hull finished in 5th position and collected 2 league points. We struggled to cover all of the required events due to injury and  other unforeseen circumstances. The entire team however gave their utmost efforts to the cause and we are proud of each and every one of them.

The event results for our young athletes were as follows.

100 metres – under 15 Boys

Harry Stutely finished in 5th place in a time of 13.19s.

300 metres – under 15 Boys

Adam Egan finished in 5th place. His time was a new personal best of 43.02s.

800 metres – under 15 Boys

Adam Egan was in 4th position in the ‘A’ race with a new personal best of 2:19.89s.

Elliot Lawrence was 4th in the ‘B’ race with a new personal best time of 2:40.98s.

80 metre hurdles – under 15 Boys

Adam Coles achieved a 2nd place finish and a new personal best time of 13.83s.

Discus – under 15 Boys

Joshua Tranmer won the competition with a new personal best throw of 34.00m.

Shot Putt – under 15 Boys

Joshua Tranmer was the winner of the ‘A ’competition with a putt measuring 10.53m.

Elliot Lawrence was placed 4th in the ‘B’ competition with a putt of 4.91m.

Long Jump – under 15 Boys

Harry Stutely was placed 5th in the ‘A’ competition with 4.74m.

Adam Coles was 3rd in the ‘B’ competition with 4.42m.

High Jump – under 15 Boys

Adam Coles came 4th in the ‘A’ competition with a new personal best of 1.35m.

Pole Vault – under 15 Boys

Harry Stutely was in 2nd place with a new personal best height of 2.85m.

100 metres – under 13 Boys

Ben Stutely was placed 5th in the ‘A’ race in a new personal best time of 14.69s.

Rob Smith was also 5th in the ‘B’ race in 16.47s.

200 metres – under 13 Boys

Tom Jeffers was in 5th place in the ‘A’ race. Registering a time of 30.01s.

800 metres – under 13 Boys

Charlie Weeks took 2nd place in the ‘A’ race with a time of 2:37.47s.

Rob Smith was 3rd in the ‘B’ race with 2:49.63s.

1500 metres – under 13 Boys

Harvey Newton was placed 4th in the ‘A’ race with a time of 5:29.21s.

Javelin – under 13 Boys

Harvey Newton was 5th in the ‘A’ competition with a throw of 11.07m.

Rob Smith was 4th in the ‘B’ competition with 10.21m.

Shot Putt – under 13 Boys

Charlie Weeks was placed 3rd in the ‘A’ competition with a new personal best of 5.84m.

Long Jump – under 13 Boys

Tom Jeffers won the ‘A’ competition with a leap of 4.46m.

Ben Stutely was placed 3rd in the ‘B’ competition with 3.73m.

High Jump – under 13 Boys

Charlie Weeks came 3rd in the ‘A’ competition with a height of 1.28m.

Tom Jeffers won the ‘B’ competition with 1.25m.

100 metres – under 15 Girls

Hannah Kynman was placed 3rd in the ‘A’ race with a new personal best time of 13.14s.

Amelia Benson was the winner of the ‘B’ race also in a new personal best time of 13.27s.

 

200 metres – under 15 girls

Hannah Kynman finished 4th in the ‘A’ race with another new personal best time of 27.05s.

Gabrielle Whittle was the winner of the ‘B’ race setting a new personal best time of 27.45s in the process.

300 metres – under 15 girls

Olivia Morton was 4th in the ‘A’ race in a new personal best time of 48.36s.

Jessica Fields was the winner of the ‘B’ race in a new personal best time of 44.97s.

800 metres – under 15 Girls

Martha Savage finished 5th in the ‘A’ race in a new personal best time of 2:35.12s.

Holly Lawrence Came 6th in the ‘B’ race and she also set a new personal best of 3:18.14s.

1500 metres – under 15 Girls

Natalie Bell was placed 5th in the ‘A’ race with a time of 5:30.24s.

Amy Greenacre finished 4th in the ‘B’ race. Her time was 5:40.41s.

75 metre Hurdles – under 15 Girls

Venus Morgan was placed 2nd in the ‘A’ race in a new personal best time of 12.40s.

Javelin – under 15 Girls

Libby Wheeler finished in 5th place in the ‘A’ competition with a throw of 15.06m.

Holly Lawrence was 5th in the ‘B’ competition with a throw of 9.51m.

Long Jump – under 15 Girls

Libby Wheeler took 2nd place in the ‘A’ competition with a new personal best of 4.69m.

Venus Morgan was the winner of the ‘B’ competition with a new personal best of 4.61m.

Pole Vault – under 15 Girls

Natalie Varga was the winner of the ‘A’ competition setting a new personal best of 2.10m.

75 metres – under 13 Girls

Ciara Andrews finished in 3rd place in the ‘A’ race and set a new personal best  of 10.97s.

Jennifer Hopkinson was placed 2nd in the ‘B’ race also setting a new personal best of 10.96s.

 

 

150 metres – under 13 girls

Sam Kyriacou was in 3rd place in the ‘A’ race with a new personal best  of 21.77s.

Emily Dye finished 5th in the ‘B’ race in a new personal best time of 23.58s.

800 metres – under 13 Girls

Jodie Martin took 4th place in the ‘A’ race with a new personal best time of 2:53.36s.

Jennifer Hopkinson was 3rd in the ‘B’ race with a time of 2:51.01s.

1200 metres – under 13 Girls

Abbie Haigh was the winner of the ‘A’ race and her time was 4:16.14s.

Katy Greenacre was placed 3rd in the ‘B’ race in a time of 4:44.01s.

70 metre Hurdles – under 13 Girls

Ciara Andrews took 4th place in the ‘A’ race in a new personal best time of 13.61s.

Emily Dye was in 3rd place in the ‘B’ race in a new personal best  time of 14.08s.

Javelin – under 13 Girls

Ciara Andrews took 4th place in the ‘A’ competition with throw measuring 12.33m.

Adriano Arroyo was placed 2nd in the ‘B’ competition with a throw of 12.28m.

Shot Putt – under 13 Girls

Sam Kyriacou was 3rd in the ‘A’ competition with a putt of 6.04m.

Abbie Haigh was 3rd in the ‘B’ competition, her distance being 4.95m.

Long Jump – under 13 Girls

Ellie Townsend took 4th place in the ‘A’ competition with a new personal best of 4.00m.

Alanah Thoresby was 3rd in the ‘B’ competition, her best jump being 3.59m.

High Jump – under 13 Girls

Ellie Townsend finished in 3rd place in the ‘A’ competition, attaining a height of 1.25m.

Alanah Thoresby was 2nd in the ‘B’ competition. Her best jump being 1.15m.
