‘Cleethorpes Beach Open’

Two of our junior athletes travelled to Cleethorpes on Sunday 12th October to represent the club in the annual Beach Open meeting which is organised by Cleethorpes Athletic Club.
There was a field of 250 runners and the race was contested on the beach at Cleethorpes.
Natalie Bell
Natalie is 14 years old and she competes in the under15 age group. She finished in 4th place in her race and she recorded a time of 10:24s.
Other notable performances by Natalie during 2014 were:
4th January at the Humberside County Cross Country Championships, held on Beverley Westwood she won the bronze medal and set a time of 18:43s.
24th May at the Humberside County Track and Field Championships she took 4th place in the 800metres final in a time of 2:37.3s.
She also ran for the club in the Youth Development League fixtures. She competed in the 1500 metres races.
Jessica Townsend
Jess is 12 years old and competes in the under15 age group. She finished the Cleethorpes Beach Run in 22nd place and recorded a time of 11:54s.
Jess competed in the 100 metres race in the ‘Hull International Athletics Festival’. She finished in 7th place and set a new PB of 16.65s.
She competes for Kingston upon Hull Athletic Club in the Youth Development League matches. This season she ran the 75 metres races for the team.
