Northern Athletics Cross Country Relays
Graves Park, Sheffield Saturday 18th October 2014
Four relay teams representing Kingston upon Hull Athletic Club took part in the Northern Athletics Cross Country Relays event which took place in Graves Park, Sheffield.
Athletes from every part of Northern England attended the event to represent their clubs.
Kingston sent two teams of under13 girls, one of under13 boys, and one of team of under15 girls.
The club was also represented by three incomplete teams. One was an under 15 girls ‘B’ team, the second a team of under17 men and the other was made up of one of our senior athletes and two of our youth team members. The performances of these athletes do not count in the team competition but the times recorded for their runs are included in the fastest times list and are also recorded in the Power of 10 listings.
The weather conditions on the day were good. It was dry with sunny spells.
Under13 Girls ‘A’ team
Abbie Haigh, who recorded a time of 6:26s for her leg of the race.
Daisy Evans who ran 6:48s.
Ella Draper who ran 6:42s
The total time for the team was 19:56s and they were placed 16th out of 41.
Under 13 Girls ‘B’ team
Jodie Martin who ran a time of 6:35s
Jessica Townsend who recorded a time of 8:55s
Evie Watson who ran 7:9s
The total time for the team was 22:39s and they were placed 31st out of 41.
Under 13 Boys team
George Nash who ran a time of 6:43s
Robert Smith who was timed at 7:00s
Joseph Seed who recorded the fastest leg of the day with an extremely impressive 5:23s
The total time for the team was 19:06s which placed them 18th out of 35.
Under 15 Girls ‘A’ team
Charlotte Dalton who ran her leg in a time of 8:51s
Natalie Bell who recorded 8:59s
Martha Savage who ran a time of 9:13s
The total time for the team was 27.03s which placed them 11th out of 32
Under 15 girls ‘B’ team
Amy Greenacre who ran her race in a time of 9:29s
Caitlin Hill who recorded a time of 10:10s
Under 17 Men’s team
Jack Brothwell who ran his race in a time of 7:59s
Connor Bingham who recorded a time of 8:02s
Senior Men’s team
GreganClarkson who ran his leg in a time of 11.24s
Oliver Newton who ran the course in 12:00s
