Northern Athletics Indoor ‘Open Meeting’

EIS Sheffield – Saturday 6th December 2014

On Saturday 6th of December 2014 twenty six of our athletes travelled to the EIS indoor stadium in Sheffield. To compete in the Northern Athletics ‘Open Meeting’.

The athletes comprised of members of the clubs senior, youth and junior teams.

There was an extremely large turnout for the meeting and the competitors had come from all parts of the country. It was a long and tiring day, not only for the athletes but also for the officials, judges and commentators.

There were many outstanding performances by our athletes, and a huge number of new PB’s.

Details of of all of our athletes achievements are as follows:-

Senior Men

Luke Giblin

Luke was the winner of his 300 metres race and he also set a new PB of 35.06s

Callum Giles

Callum was also the winner of his 300 metres race and he too set a new PB of 36.06s

Gideon Okoh

Gideon finished in 3rd place in his 60 metres race in which he set a new PB of 7.29s

Under 20 Men

Andrew Morgan-Harrison

Andrew finished in 3rd position in the 60 metres race where he set a time of 7.49s.

He was also placed third in his 300 metres race setting a new PB of 37.20s.

Eliot Gay

Eliot finished in 2nd place in his 60 metres race and he set a new PB of 7.43s.

He was also the winner of his 300 metres race where he set a new PB of 37.39s.

Matthew Elvidge

Matt competed in the long jump where he was placed 10th with a jump of 6.01m.

 

 Under 17 Men

Matthew Backhouse

Matthew was the winner of his 60 metres race and he also set a new PB of 7.39s.

Brett Dorley

Brett was placed 4th in his 60 metres race where he set a new PB of 7.74s.

Harry Stutely

Harry was placed 5th in his 60 metres where he also set a new PB of 7.77s.

He also competed in the long jump where he was placed 15th with a jump of 5.01m.

Elliot Wallis

Elliot was the winner of his 60 metres and he too set a new PB of 7.73s.

He also contested the high jump where he was placed 11th with a clearance of 1.60m.

Macalley Morgan

Macalley was the winner of his 60 metres and he set a new PB of 7.81s.

In the long jump competition he took 7th place and set a new PB of 5.64m.

He also contested in the high jump where finished in 14th and set a new PB of 1.50m.

Nathan Hood

Nathan was the winner of his 60 metres setting a new PB of 8.26s.

He competed in the long jump where he finished in 16th and set a new PB of 5.50m.

He also contested the high jump where he finished 16th with a clearance of 1.40m.

Freddie Capes

Freddie took 2nd place in his 60 metres where he set a new PB of 8.47s.

He also competed in the high jump where he finished 13th and set a new PB of 1.55m.

 

 Under 15 Boys

Shaun Kerry

Shaun was the winner of his 60 metres running a new PB of 8.57m.

He was also the winner of the shot putt competition with a new PB of 9.75m.

He took 3rd place in his 150 metres race and set another new PB of 20.27s.

Adam Coles

Adam was the winner of his 60 metres where he set a new PB of 8.35s.

He took 3rd place in the 60 metres hurdles with another new PB of 9.64s.

In the long jump he took another 3rd place and set another new PB of 4.86m.

Kayden Morgan

Kayden won his 60 metres race and in the process he set a new PB of 8.29s.

He also contested the long jump where he took 2nd place and set another new PB of 5.07m.

Ben Stutely

Ben took 2nd place in his 60 metres race where he set a new PB of 8.98s.

In the long jump he finished in 11th place and he set another new PB of 4.04m.

David Morgan-Harrison

David took 5th place in his 150 metres race and he also set a new PB of 21.62s.

Connor Pickering

Connor competes in the under 13 category but in this competition he competed out of his age group in the under 15’s.

He took 6th place in his 60 metres race and he set a new PB of 9.56s.

In the shot putt he took 5th place and set another new PB of 6.52m.

He also competed in the long jump where he finished in 12th place with a jump of 3.75m.

 

 Under 20 Women

Jessica Lee

Jess was in 8th place in her 60 metres race where she set a new PB of 9.02s.

She also contested the long jump, finishing in 19th place with another new PB of 4.20m.

 

Under 17 Women

Amelia Robinson

Amelia took 3rd place in the 300 metres race in a recorded time of 43.91s.

She also ran the 600 metres where she finished in 6th place with a time of 1:42.85s.

Sian Kerry

Sian was placed 8th in her 60 metres race with a time of 9.11s.

She took 6th place in the 60 metres hurdles recording a time of 10.72s.

Paige Matthews

Paige was placed 8th in her 60 metres with a new PB of 9.34s.

She took 6th place in her 60 metres hurdles race with another new PB of 11.27s.

In the high jump she was in 18th place with a clearance of 1.35m.

 

Under 15 Girls

Hannah Kynman

Hannah was the winner of her 60 metres race and she also set a new PB of 8.00s.

She was also the winner of the 150 metres where she set another new PB of 18.93s.

Libby Wheeler

Libby was the winner of her 60 metres race where she set a new PB of 8.59s.

She also contested the long jump where she took 3rd place with a leap of 4.75m.

 Venus Morgan

Venus was the winner of the long jump competition with her best effort measuring 4.91m.

She took 2nd place in the 60 metres hurdles race setting a new PB of 9.55s.

She also took 2nd place in the high jump competition with a clearance of 1.45m.
