Northern Athletics 10k Championships

Kingston upon Hull Athletic Club was represented at the 2014 Northern Athletics 10k Championships by Gregan Clarkson.

This year saw the race being held on Sunday 28^th of December, on the road in the Ribble Valley at Clitheroe in Lancashire.

1500 athletes took part in the Championships, which were keenly contested on what was a cold and clear day on the other side of the Pennines.

Gregan Clarkson finished in a creditable 37^th place in the race and he was pleased with his time of 33.17s which was one of the fastest times of his career.

This was Gregan’s 4^th race on consecutive days.

On Christmas day he ran in the Hull Park Run where he finished 2^nd out of 198 competitors. He was accompanied in this race by his fellow Kingston athlete Oliver Newton who finished in 4^th place.

Boxing Day saw him running in the East Hull Harriers 10k race where he finished 3^rd out of 250 starters.

On the 27^th of December he was to be found in Sheffield competing in the Graves Park run, where he finished 1^st out of 51 competitors.

The 2014 season is over for Gregan now but he is eagerly looking forward to his 2015 campaign.
