Welsh Athletics International

One of the clubs outstanding young athletes made her debut for England at the Welsh Athletics International meeting, which took place in Cardiff on Sunday 8th of March.
In the 2014 track and field season Charlotte Paterson was the outdoors 100 metres silver medallist at both the English Schools Championships and the U.K. School Games and also the gold medal winner at the Northern Championships. Not to mention being a finalist at the Hull Daily Mail ‘Sporting Champions’ awards.
In the 2015 indoor season Charlotte picked up another silver medal, this time in the 60 metres at the Northern Championships and also put in excellent performances at the England Championships.
Those performances were duly noted and she received a call up to the England Squad for the Cardiff Meeting.
Charlotte represented her Country in the 60 metres race, which she duly won picking up a gold medal in 7.60s, just one tenth outside of her PB and 7 tenths of a second in front of the 2nd placed finisher.
Charlotte was also selected for the 4 x 200 metres relay team which finished in 3rd place in a time of 1:40.91.
