North of England League Division 1

Uclan Arena – Preston, Lancashire.

Sunday 12th of July 2015

The third league meeting of the 2015 track and field season took Kingston’s senior team out towards the west coast of England, to the Uclan arena in Preston, where we renewed competition with Preston AC, Sale Harriers, Wakefield Harriers, Blackburn Harriers and Derby AC.

Our senior athletes were joined by a healthy contingent of our youth team members, some of whom had spent the previous two days up at Gateshead, competing in the English Schools Championships.

It was another most creditable and wholehearted team performance, which was exemplified by the number of personal best and seasons best performances achieved by our athletes.

Kingston finished in 4th place on the day and we collected 4 league points. This leaves us standing 3rd in the league table with 12 points, just one point behind joint table toppers Wakefield and Blackburn who both have 13.

The stage is set for the final league clash of the season which will be held at Thorne Park in Wakefield on Saturday the 8th of August.
