Northern Athletics Indoor Open Meeting

English Institute of Sports Stadium, Sheffield

Saturday 5th December 2015

Twenty two of Kingston’s junior and youth team athletes made their way over to Sheffield, to compete at Northern Athletics second ‘open meeting’ of the indoor season, at the English Institute of Sports Stadium. The event drew a big turnout of athletes from the north of England and the Midlands, and a few from the south.

The last couple of months has seen everyone working hard on their fitness and conditioning, in preparation for the Indoor championship meetings in January and February of 2016. This was a chance to assess the progress that had been made, and to get back into competition mode.

The age categories at the meeting were senior men and women, with under 20’s and under 17’s competing as seniors. Under 15’s and under 13’s all competed together in the under 15 category. Many of the youngsters had just made the move up in age group and were understandably nervous.
