First of all well done to the boys.  Alfie – went out fast, died a bit late on to come home in 21st in 12.04.  Nathan gained 2 places on leg 2 moving the team up to 19th with a time of 12.32. Then finally onto Zach making his debut at this event who held position on the final leg to bring home the boys in 19th position with a time of 13.07.  

Then onto the U17 ladies race!!!!!  Tabs comes home in 3rd place after leg 1 in a time of 13.26. The 5th fastest time of the day by all the U17 girls. Then the unthinkable happened – both Birtley and Elswick leading after leg 1 had no 2nd leg runners! We find ourselves in the lead as Jess sets off!!!. When was the last time KUHAC were leading a Road Relays race? Jess finished leg 2 in 7th place with a time of 15.12.  Jess then handed over to Amy on the last leg who brought the team home in 10th position with a time of 15.42.  Super work girls.  

We are now looking at sending a girls team or 2 to the National Road Relays in Sutton Coldfields.
