North of England Division 1 – Match 2

Witton Park, Blackburn – Saturday 6th June 2015

The second senior league meeting of the 2015 track and field season saw us taking a trip over the Pennines to Blackburn. As always it was a cold and miserable day in Lancashire with gusts of wind exceeding 45mph.

We were short of some of our regular competitors but our senior team,   augmented by athletes from our youth team gave an almighty effort, and put in a great team performance.

Our opposing teams were once again, Blackburn Harriers, Derby AC, Wakefield Harriers, Preston and Sale Harriers.

Kingston won the league match and collected the maximum 6 points, which sees us remain at the top of the top of the league table, two points clear of second placed Blackburn Harriers.

Our next match is at the Uclan Arena in Preston, Lancashire on Sunday 12th of July.
