The Kingston junior team’s second league match of the season took place at the Costello Stadium on Saturday the 19th of May. The opening fixture had seen the team put in a good performance, and they were looking to carry on their good form on home soil. The match commenced with the juniors holding 2nd place on the league table. The opposition once again was provided by Rotherham Harriers, Chesterfield AC, Doncaster AC and Lincoln Wellington. The Kingston athletes put on a terrific performance which saw them win the match and take over as the new league leaders.

After two matches the league table sees Kingston 1st with 9 league points and 954 match points, 2nd were Rotherham with 9 and 929, 3rd Chesterfield on 5 and 837.5, 4th Doncaster on 5 and 756 and Lincoln were 5th with 2 and 625.5.

Performances by all of the Kingston upon Hull AC athletes are as follows:-

Under 13 Boys

Noah Sibary took 2nd place in the 100 metre sprint ‘A’ race, running a new PB of 14.32 sec, an improvement of 0.38 of a second. Finlay Southcoat was the winner of the 100 ‘B’ posting a new PB of 14.95 sec, clipping 0.70 off his old best. The 200 metre sprints saw William Fairburn take 3rd place in the ‘A’ running a new PB of 30.86 sec an improvement of 0.24 of a second., with Max Wright also taking 3rd in the ‘B’ with his run of 30.87 sec, a new PB and an improvement of 0.23 sec. In the 800 metres race Noah Sibary was the winner of the ‘A’ running a time of 2:29.84 sec and Toby Greensmith took 2nd place in the ‘B’ with his seasons best run of 2:35.17 sec. William Fairburn and Max Wright were the teams representatives in the 1500 metres. Max took 3rd place in the ‘A’ running a new PB of 5:18.47 sec an improvement of 11.56 seconds, whilst in the ‘B’ Will was also 3rd and he ran a new PB of 5:43.69 sec, an improvement of 8.31 seconds. The field events found them paired together once more in the high jump, where Max Wright, in his first high jump competition  was the joint winner of the ‘A’, going clear at a height of 1.45 metres to establish a PB. Toby Greensmith was the winner of the ‘B’ and he cleared a height of 1.15 metres. Noah Sibary was the winner of the long jump ‘A’ with a leap of 4.05 metres and Nathan Hope’s jump of 2.90 metres saw him take 4th place in the ‘B’. Finlay Southcoat was the winner of the shot putt ‘A’ where he threw a new PB of 7.44 metres an improvement of 6 centimetres. Ben Russell took 2nd place in the shot ‘B’ throwing a new PB of 5.40 metres an improvement of 30 centimetres. The javelin event saw Toby Greensmith take 2nd place in the ‘A’ with a new PB of 24.16 metres an improvement of 4.08 m. Finlay Southcoat  was the winner of the ‘B’ throwing a new PB of 18.20 metres, an improvement of 6.68 metres.

Under 13 Girls

Both of the sprint races were covered by Tilly Cairns and Libby Hakney. Tilly was the winner of the 75 metres ‘A’ race running a new PB of 10.39 sec, an improvement of 0.11 sec, and Libby  was the winner of the ‘B’ and she too ran a new PB of 10.45 sec, an improvement of 0.25 sec. The two girls also dominated the 150 metres races, with Tilly winning the ‘A’ running a new PB of 20.10 sec, an improvement of 0.82 sec, and Libby winning the ‘B’ running another new PB of 20.46 sec, an improvement of 0.76 sec. Meabh Brannigan was the winner of the 800 metres ‘A’ where she ran a new PB of 2:31.82 sec, an improvement of 4.81 sec. Emma Hoggard took 2nd place in the ‘B’ where she too ran a new PB of 2:45.08 sec an improvement of 0.92 sec. Anya Beetham took 4th place in 1200 metres ‘A’ race running a new PB of 4:37.10 sec, an improvement of 4.80 sec. Lydia Moore, running in her first competitive  hurdles race took 4th place in the 70 metres hurdles ‘A’ where she established a PB of 17.34 sec. Out on the field Izzy Watts and Tonisha Pickering  covered the high jump competition, where Izzy took 2nd place in the ‘A’ clearing a height of 1.25 metres and Tonisha took 2nd place in the ‘B’, where she went clear at a new PB height of 1.25 metres, an improvement of 5 centimetres. Tonisha saw more action in the long jump where she was the winner of the ‘A’ with her leap of 3.86 metres, with Freya Vidal taking 2nd place in the ‘B’ with her jump of 3.50 metres. The shot putt saw Izzy taking 2nd place in the ‘A’ with her throw of 7.09 metres, whilst Lydia Moore was the winner of the ‘B’, throwing  6.92 metres. Izzy and Lydia were together again in the javelin competition, which saw Izzy take 2nd place in the ‘A’ with her throw of 19.12 metres, and Lydia was the winner of the ‘B’ with 17.44 metres.

Under 15 Boys

The 100 metre sprints saw Jack Singleton taking 4th place in the ‘A’ race running  a new PB of 12.92 sec, an improvement of 0.31 sec. Charlie Parker took 3rd place in the ‘B’ where he also ran a new PB of 13.59 sec, an improvement of 0.44 sec. In the 200 metres ‘A’ Adam Fox took 3rd place running a new PB of 25.64 sec an improvement of 1.53 sec, and in the ‘B’ race Jack Singleton was 2nd posting a new PB 26.16 sec, an improvement of 0.75 sec. The 300 metre race saw Adam Fox take 2nd place in the ‘A’ running a time of 40.79 sec, and in the ‘B’ Charlie Parker was the 2nd place finisher running a new PB of 43.28 sec, an improvement of 0.39 sec. In the 800 metres Oliver Adnitt took 4th place in the ‘A’, where he ran a new PB of 2:22.08 sec, slashing 7.42 seconds off his previous best. Harvey Southcoat was the winner of the ‘B’ slashing 12 seconds off his old best to set a new PB of 2:24.50 sec. The 1500 metres ‘A’ saw Thomas Smales take 3rd place in the race, where he ran a new PB of 4:41.99 sec, an improvement of 1.87 sec. The 80 metre hurdles saw Jack Singleton take 2nd place in the ‘A’ posting a new PB of 12.84 sec, an improvement of 0.26 sec. The field events found Oliver Adnitt and Harvey Southcoat contesting the high jump, where Oliver took 2nd place in the ‘A’ with a clearance at 1.40 metres, and Harvey took 2nd place in the ‘B’ with his clearance at 1.25 metres. The long jump competition saw Connor Pickering take 3rd place in the ‘A’ with his season’s best jump of 4.77 metres, whilst Fabian Vidal was the winner of the ‘B’, jumping a new PB of 4.70 metres, an improvement of 7 cm. Connor was in further action in the shot event where he was the winner of the ‘A’ throwing a new PB of 11.09 metres, an improvement of 6 cm. Alex Chivers took 2nd place in the ‘B’ where he too threw a new PB of 7.53 metres, an improvement of 17 cm. The discus competition saw Fabian Vidal in further action along with Alex Chivers. Fabian took 2nd place in the ‘A’ with his throw of 18.11 metres and Alex was the winner of the ‘B’ with a throw of 17.19 metres. Gabriel Li La-Vigars made his debut appearance in the hammer competition taking 3rd place in the ‘A’ and establishing a PB 11.59 metres. Connor Pickering and Alex Chivers were together again in the javelin event, where Connor took 2nd place in the ‘A’ with his throw of 27.72 metres, and Alex was the 2nd place finisher in the ‘B’ throwing a new PB of 25.58 metres, an improvement of 6 cm.

Under 15 Girls

The 100 and 200 metre sprints were covered by Daisy Logan and Pippa Gouldson. In the 100 metres race Daisy was the winner of the ‘A’ running a time of 12.95 sec, and Pippa was the winner of the ‘B’ with her run of 14.01 sec. The two girls were also in complete control of the 200 metres race, with Daisy winning the ‘A’ with her run of 26.32 sec and Pippa was the winner of the ‘B’ running a new PB of 28.42 sec, an improvement of 0.88 sec. The 300 metre race saw Ella Shaw-Hall take 4th place in the ‘A’ running a time of 49.12 sec, with Amy Rotherey, running in her first 300 race taking 4th place in the ‘B’ and establishing a PB of 55.81 sec. In the 800 metres Emilia Russell took 4th place in the ‘A’ where she ran a new PB of 2:33.15 sec, an improvement of 0.15 sec. Ella Shaw-Hall was the winner of the ‘B’ race where she too ran a new PB of 2:35.50 sec, an improvement of 1.49 sec. The 1500 metres saw Aimee Campbell running her first race over the distance, she was the 4th place finisher in the ‘A’ and established a PB of 5:49.07 sec. Georgina North took 2nd place in the ‘B’ running a new PB of 5:51.45 sec, an improvement of 7.45 sec. In the 75 metre hurdles Lauren McClean was the winner of the ‘A’ race where she ran a time of 12.73 sec, and in the ‘B’ Pippa Gouldson took 3rd place with her run of 15.44 sec. On the field Lauren McClean and Emilia Russell were in competition in the high jump where Lauren was the winner of the ‘A’ with a clearance at her personal best height of 1.55 metres, and Emilia was the winner of the ‘B’ going clear at a new PB height of 1.48 metres, an improvement of 3 cm. The two girls were paired again in the long jump where Lauren was the 2nd place finisher in the ‘A’ jumping a new PB of 4.51 metres, an improvement of 19 cm. Emilia was the winner of the ‘B’ with her leap of 4.45 metres. The shot brought Holly Adams into the throwing circle, where she was the winner of the ‘A’ with her throw of 10.77 metres, whilst in the ‘B’ Lucy Bailey-Dalton, who continued her good progress in the event, was the winner with a throw of 8.74 metres. Holly was the winner of the discus ‘A’, throwing a new PB of 29.09 metres, an improvement of 6 cm. Esther Savage took 2nd place in the ‘B’ where she also threw a new PB of 13.70 metres, an improvement of 37 cm.  Holly and Esther were together again in the javelin, where Holly was the winner of the ‘A’ with her throw of 26.59 metres and Esther was the winner of the ‘B’ with her season’s best throw of 22.05 metres. The hammer competition saw Lucy Cresswell take 2nd place in the ‘A’ with her throw of 28.40 metres, and Amy Rotherey in her very first hammer event took 3rd place in the ‘B’ and established a PB of 8.65 metres.

 

RELAY RESULTS

Under 13 Girls

4 x 100 Metres

The Kingston quartet of Tilly Cairns, Freya Vidal, Libby Hakney and Meabh Brannigan, were the winners of the race and their time of 55.42 sec was a new club record.

 

Under 13 Boys

4 x 100 Metres

The Kingston team of Noah Sibary, William Fairburn, Max Wright and Finlay Southcoat took 2nd place and they ran a time of 59.07 sec.

 

Under 15 Girls

4 x 100 Metres

The Kingston foursome of Daisy Logan, Lauren McClean, Pippa Gouldson and Holly Adams were the winners of the race and they ran a time of 53.78 sec.

 

Under 15 Boys

4 x 100 Metres

The Kingston team of Jack Singleton, Connor Pickering, Charlie Parker and Adam Fox took 3rd place and ran a time of 53.97 sec.

 

 

Under 15 Girls

4 x 300 Metres

The Kingston foursome of Esther Savage, Ella Shaw-Hall, Emilia Russell and Georgina North took 3rd place and they ran a time of 3:17.90 sec.

 

Under 15 Boys

4 x 300 Metres

The Kingston team of Oliver Adnitt, Thomas Smales, Harvey Southcoat and Adam Fox took 2nd place and ran a time of 2:49.00 sec.

Under 15 Boys

100 Metres (A)

There were two Kingston athletes in the 100 metres (A), Harvey Southcoat was the winner of the race running a new PB of 13.05 sec, an improvement of 1.20 sec. Gabriel Li La-Vigars took 3rd place and he too ran a new PB of 14.28 sec, an improvement of 0.52 sec.

100 Metres (B)

Nathan Hope was the 3rd place finisher in the race in which he ran in a time of 15.83 sec.

Under 15 Girls

Rebecca Westhead was the winner of the race where she ran a new PB of 13.99 sec, an improvement of 0.42 sec.

Under 13 Girls

75 Metres (A)

Freya Vidal was the winner of the 75 metres ‘A’ race running a time of 11.17 sec, an improvement of 0.13 sec.

Tonisha Pickering took 2nd place in the B race running a new PB of 12.13 sec, an improvement of 0.87 sec.
