Humber League & Open Series
Costello Stadium, Hull Saturday 27th July
The fourth match, of the 2019 Humber League & Open Series, was staged at the Costello Stadium in Hull, on Saturday 27th of July. There was a good turnout, of athletes, from all of the clubs, based around the Humber estuary.
Performance details for all the Kingston athletes are as follows
Under 11 Boy’s
Sebastian McKenzie, made his Kingston debut, at the May, York Summer league meeting. This competition marked his third competitive outing. He was in action, in the 80 metre and 150 metre sprints, and the long jump. He was the winner of, race 1 in the 80 metres, running a time of 12.4 sec. In the 150 SX race, contested by both boys and girls, he took 2nd place, running a time of 23.4 sec, establishing a PB. He was a 2nd place finisher, in the long jump, with his leap of 3.49 metres.
Keijimi Ashadlu, took part in the 80 metre, and 150 metre sprints, as well as the 600 metres race. He was the winner of race 2, in the 80 metres, running a time of 12.0 sec. He was also a 3rd place finisher, in the 600 metres SX race, covering the 1.25 lap race, in a time of 2:07.8 sec.
Under 11 Girl’s
Like her brother, Charlotte McKenzie, also made her Kingston debut, in the York Summer league. At this event, She was the winner of race 1, of the 80 metres, running a new PB of 11.9 sec, 4 tenths off her old mark. She also ran in her first 150 metres sprint, winning the race, and establishing a PB of 23.3 sec. A third victory came her way, in the long jump, where she leapt to a new PB of 3.75 metres, 36cm beyond her old best.
Lucy Hope, competed in three events. She took a 4th place finish, in race 1 of the 80 metres, running a new PB of 13.2 sec, shaving 3 tenths off her old time. She was a 6th place finisher, in the 600 metres race, clocking a time of 2:13.1 sec. The long jump, saw her take 5th place, with a leap of 3.14 metres.
Amelia Fraser, took 5th place in race 1 of the 80 metres, where she ran a time of 14.2 sec. The long jump competition saw her take 10th place , with her jump of 2.81 metres.
Charlotte Wilkinson, was the winner, of the 80 metres race 2, where she ran a time of 12.4 sec. In the 150 metre sprint, she took 4th place in the race, clocking a time of 24.6 sec.
Hollie Sutton, ran in her first 150 metre sprint race, where she took 5th place, and established a PB of 25.1 sec.
Issy Gouldson, was a 6th place finisher, in race 2 of the 80 metre sprints, where she ran a new PB of 14.3 sec, one tenth off her old mark. The 150 metre sprints, saw her take a 7th place finish, running a new PB of 27.9 sec, her fastest hand timed run.
Tilly Shaw Hall, took 7th place, in the long jump event, where she leapt to a new PB of 3.02 metres, 17cm beyond her old best. She also ran in race 2 of the 80 metres, where she clocked a time of 14.0 sec.
Under 13 Boy’s
Noah Sibary, took 2nd place, in the 100 metres race, running a time of 14.6 sec. He also took a 2nd place finish, in the long jump, leaping to a new PB of 4.30 metres, 4cm past his old best. He also ran in his first 1500 metres race, which was a mix of both sexes, and age categories. He took 4th place in the race, running the metric mile, in a time of 5:04.0, to establish a PB.
William Rusling, took 4th place, in the 100 metres sprint, running a time of 14.9 sec. in the long jump, he took a 5th place finish, with his leap of 3.95 metres.
Nathan Hope, was the winner, of the 75 metre hurdles race, where he ran a time of 15.6 sec. In the 100 metre sprints, he took a 5th place finish, running his PB time of 15.0 sec. The long jump event, saw him take a 3rd place finish, jumping a new PB of 4.25 metres, 18cm beyond his old best.
Under 13 Girl’s
Chloe Sutton, was in action in both the, 100 and 200 metre sprints. She was the winner of both races, running a time of 14.7 sec, for the 100, and 30.4 sec, for the 200 metres.
Josephine Kidger, was also in competition in two events. In her first 70 metre hurdles race, she took a 5th place finish, running a time of 17.9 sec, to establish a PB. In the long jump, she took 9th place, with her leap of 3.27 metres.
Ruby Watts, took a 4th place finish, in the javelin event, throwing a new PB of 10.81 metres, 1.45 metres beyond her old mark. In the shot putt, she took 6th place, throwing another new PB of 4.98 metres, an advance of 37cm. Her third event, was the long jump, where she took 8th place, and equalled her PB of 2.31 metres.
Under 15 Boy’s
Alex Chivers, was the winner of the 4 kg shot, with his throw of 9.49 metres. He was also the winner, of the 1.25 kg discus, throwing a new PB of 28.56 metres, 6cm past his old mark. Further action came, in the 600g javelin, which was contested by both male and female athletes, and age categories. He was the winner, of the event, with his throw of, 34.32 metres.
Gabriel Li La-Vigars, took 2nd place, in the 1.25 kg discus, where he threw a distance of 23.22 metres. He also took 4th place, in the mixed javelin event, with a throw of 30.29 metres. He also took a 3rd place finish, in the 4 kg hammer, with his throw of 29.40 metres.
Under 15 Girl’s
Tilly Cairns, took 2nd place, in the 100 metres race, running a time of 13.0 sec, her fastest hand timed run. She was the winner of the 200 metre sprints, running a time of 27.7 sec.
Emma Hoggard, took 2nd place, in the 200 metres sprints, running her season’s best time of 30.6 sec. She also took a 3rd place finish, in her first long jump competition, where she established a PB of 3.67 metres.
Training partners, Georgina North, and Aimee Campbell, were in competition, in the 1500SX race. Georgina took 7th place in the race, running a time of 5:39.9 sec, with Aimee in 8th position, running a new PB of 5:48.6 sec, shaving 0.75 sec, off her old time.
Under 17 & Under 20 Men
Oliver Adnitt, was in action in three events, all of them were disciplines, which were new to him. In the 100 metre sprints, he was a 4th place finisher, running a time of 12.8 sec, where he established a PB. He also had his first experience of competitive hurdling. Winning the 100 metre hurdles race, to establish another PB of 12.8 sec. In the shot event, he took 4th place, with his throw of 7.99 metres, to establish his third PB of the day.
Connor Pickering, was in competition in the 5kg shot putt, where was the winner of the event, with his throw of 11.63 metres.
Antony Mould, was the winner of the 5kg hammer, with his throw of 40.38 metres. He also won the 1.5kg discus, with a throw of 30.31 metres, as well as taking a 3rd place finish, in the 5kg shot, where he threw 9.35 metres.
Aiden Christiansen, made his second competitive appearance. Throwing in the 600g javelin, he took 7th place, with his throw of 17.84 metres.
Shaun Kerry, was the winner of the 6kg hammer, with his throw of 60.30 metres. He took another victory, in the 6kg shot, where he put in a throw of 13.70 metres. Shaun, was also the winner, of the 1.75 kg discus, throwing a new PB, of 37.24 metres, 42 cm beyond his old best.
Under 17 & Under 20 Women
The 100 metre sprints, saw Daisy Logan win the race, running a time of 13.2 sec. Lauren McClean, took 2nd place, with her run of 13.6 sec, and Eve Anderson was 3rd, running a time of 14.1 sec. In the 200 metres race, Eve took a 3rd place finish, running a new PB of 29.4 sec, a 3.6 sec improvement.
Lauren McClean, was the winner of the 80 metre hurdles race, running a time of 12.8 sec. Eve Anderson, took 2nd place in the race, with her run of 14.1 sec. Lauren, took another victory, in the high jump, where she cleared a height of 1.47 metres.
Rosie Shepherd, took 4th place in the 400 metres race, running a new PB of 65.3 sec, taking 3.2 sec, off her old mark. Rosie, was also the winner, of a mixed male and female, high jump event, clearing a height, of 1.42 metres.
Holly Adams, was the winner, of the 3kg shot event, with her throw of 12.05 metres. Holly was also the winner, of the 1kg discus, with a throw of 32.47 metres. She also picked up a third victory, in the 500g javelin, where she threw a new PB of 34.91 metres, 5.60 metres past her old mark. Izzy Watts, took 2nd place in the 500g javelin, with her throw of 21.64 metres.
Izzy Watts, took 3rd place in the 3kg shot, with a throw of 8.46 metres, with Lydia Moore 4th, throwing a distance of 7.82 metres, and Eden Lockett 6th, with her season’s best throw of 6.53 metres. Eden, also took 2nd place in the 3kg hammer, with her throw of 41.02 metres, and, Izzy was 3rd with a throw of 25.25 metres, Lydia took 5th place, in the hammer, with her throw of 20.30 metres.
Sarah Robinson, was the winner, of the 4kg hammer event, with a throw of 21.63 metres. She also took 4th place in the 4kg shot, where she threw 7.02 metres, and a throw of 21.63 metres, saw Sarah take 5th place, in the 1kg discus. Lydia Moore, was the 6th place finisher, in the 1kg discus, with a throw of 20.27 metres. Becky Chivers, was 8th, with a season’s best throw of 17.97 metres, and Eden Lockett 9th with 16.36 metres. Becky, also took 3rd place in the 4kg shot, with a throw of 7.32 metres.
Grace Moore, ran in her first 100 metres race, which was contested, by both male and female athletes, and varying age categories.. She took 5th place in the race, running a time of 14.4 sec, establishing a PB.
