Membership
Q: How can I join the club?
A: You can join by filling out the online membership form on our website.  Initially, you'll be asked to attend a training session for a few weeks and following this, you'll potentially be invited to join the Club as a member.

Q: What are the membership fees?
A: Our annual membership fees start at £15. Visit our Membership page for more details.

Q: Do I need to have prior athletics experience to join?
A: No, we welcome everyone, from beginners to seasoned athletes.

Training Sessions
Q: When and where do training sessions take place?
A: Training sessions are held at Costello Stadium on most weekdays. Check the Training Schedule page for the most up-to-date details.

Q: Do you offer training for specific disciplines like sprinting, long-distance running, or field events?
A: Yes, we have specialized coaches for track events, distance running, and field events such as javelin, long jump, and more.

Q: What should I bring to my first training session?
A: Wear comfortable athletic clothing and running shoes. Sessions may be indoor or outdoor so suitable clothing for the conditions to be worn. Bring a water bottle and any necessary medication, such as an inhaler.

Competitions
Q: Does the club participate in competitions?
A: The club competes in the Lower & Upper Youth Development League and the Senior League. These are the only competitions that the club sends teams to. Humber based athletes can also be selected for the Humber AA County team, however, this team is made up of athletes from all Humberside based athletes, not necessarily KuHAC athletes . All other events are entered on an individual basis. 

Q: Do I have to compete if I join the club?
A: Yes, as a member you are expected to compete for the Club. However, this is a gradual progression particularly if you are new to athletics giving you time to find your feet and grow in confidence. 

Facilities
Q: Do you have access to a track?
A: Yes, we train at Costello Stadium, which is fully equipped for athletics training.

Q: Are there changing rooms and parking facilities?
A: Yes, Costello has changing rooms, showers, and parking.

For Juniors
Q: Do you have a junior athletics program?
A: Yes, we run sessions for children aged 8-14 on Mondays and Thursdays. These sessions focus on fun, fitness, and developing athletic skills.

Q: Are the coaches qualified?
A: All KUHAC coaches are UK Athletics certified and have undergone DBS checks. See Coaches (under "Our Club") for more information.
